National Benchmarks
The 2016 Delaware Study of Instructional Costs and Productivity
The following tables are the published results from the 2016 Delaware Study of Instructional Costs and Productivity. Since this is a national benchmark, the data is a little dated. The most recent information we have available is from Fall 2015.
The results of the Delaware data produce four different benchmarked metrics; and, within each benchmark, are calculations based on the type of faculty: (Tenured/Tenure-Track: Other Regular Faculty; Supplemental Faculty; Teaching Assistants – Credit Bearing; Teaching Assistants – non credit bearing courses).
To use the Delaware Data:
- Identify which of the four benchmarks that apply and click on the link.
- The files are organized by a CIP code within the faculty type so identify the CIP code that apply.
- Be sure to read the page titles closely as that is the only way you are alerted to the faculty group you are benchmarking against.
- Copy down the information that applies.
